3.2.22 Loops, strap fastener. The strap fastener loops shall conform to type III, style B of
MIL-L-11075.
3.2.23 Hooks, tent. The tent hooks used at the peak plate shall conform to type I, size 1 inch of MIL-H-
1608.
3.2.24 Tent liner. The liner for the tent shall conform to MIL-L-43333.
3.2.25 Pins, tent, metal. When required (see 6.2), the tent pins shall be type I, conforming to
MIL-P-501.
3.2.26 Pole, tent, telescope. When required (see 6.2), the magnesium, adjustable telescopic tent poles
shall conform to MIL-P-1716.
3.3 Construction. The construction shall conform in all respects to the drawings listed in
section 2 and as specified herein.
3.3.1 Stitching, machine.
3.3.1.1 Stitch types. Stitch types, except bartacks, shall conform to ASTM D6193 as follows:
For all stitching, except bartacking,

Type 301, 5 to 7 stitches per inch
"zig-zag" stitching.

3.3.1.2 Type 301 stitching. Ends of all stitching shall be backstitched or overstitched 1/2 inch minimum
except when caught in other stitching or turned under in the hem. Thread tension shall be maintained so that
there will be no loose stitching resulting in puckering of material sewn. The lock shall be imbedded in the
material sewn.
